pizza pizza

Really quickly, all we have eaten in 3 days is pizza and gelato and I love every minute of it. Slices cost a euro and gelato less than 2. I don't care if its unhealthy is damn good. EXXXXXcept for when I just casually ordered slices and didn't really think about it and ended up with one slice having shrimp, lettuce and thousand island sauce, and one with tuna and tomatoes with mayo and red sauce... I still feel queasy at the thought. However, it was still cheap and I loved it. There is really quite a difference here when you can eat out for far cheaper than cooking in. Quite a concept... So we will let you know when the kitchen finally gets used, or whenever Christy will have to drive me to the hospital for heart failure from all the grease.. MMMMMMM grease.  I am going to do my best to not actually tell you the exact city we are in, because this place is a treasure.. Tourists don't need to know about it... I cannot believe the isolated beauty the surrounds us. Everyone, like Paris (except frenchy :) ) has been so nice to us. One reason being that we attempt to speak the language first and foremost, and the other reason being because Christy is beautiful and who doesn't want to accommodate an beautiful woman. We are driving a Fiat around for a dirt cheap price for two weeks, which has me feeling like I am in the car chase scene from 'Ronin', but there is no way I am driving in Rome. When we took the bus to get to the train station in Rome we chose to sit right up in front, and I swear I almost had a heart attack. People drive F#@*n crazy here. Honestly though, its my type of people, aggressive driving and no real rules, just get somewhere and don't kill anyone. I swear, I really am starting to get the real humor behind 'National Lampoons Euro Vacation', before I left I thought it was kind of lame humor to have someone walking into your room unexpectedly in the middle of the night(which happened to us in Paris), I thought it was dumb humor when Clark hit the same guy driving in multiple countries (which Christy is sure I will do before the trip is over)... Talk about an 'ah-ha' moment.. Next thing you know, I am going to be in Germany and start an accidental fight and have the whole village chasing after me.. Don't worry Christiane I am not projecting.. So I'll keep everyone updated on that. I want to thank Clay again for all the advice on renting the car, getting lost for fun, and just enjoying the abundance of food, and the people, is it fantastic. More pictures to come soon, and I am sure Christy will please you all soon enough with her thoughts, I know you all love them.. :)   Have a great day and we will be up early to try and burn off some of the 5000 calories we ate today.. Forget 'Eat,Pray,Love', this is Eat,Sleep, Eat...

An American Tourist Walks into a Bar…by Christy

Last night was so much fun. We started the evening off by dining at a French Chinese restaurant. The food was so flavorful.  It was very different from American Chinese food, but very good. I have been completely spoiled; Chris has been cooking the most delicious pasta dishes for us for dinner. We have been staying in for dinner a lot so was really nice sitting down to eat at a small table on the streets of Paris.

We have been frequenting a French bakery, picking up Chicken baguette sandwiches and creative pizza for lunch to the point where the owner knows exactly what we want upon seeing us. I am determined to get photos with the beautiful mademoiselle before we leave Paris for Roma early Friday morning.

After dinner we headed to a small local bar near our hotel in the Vincennes area. There we laughed and drank a bit before starting up a conversation with the local bar patrons. This conversation turned into a long night of laughter. We meet a pharmacist who loved Bob Marley, a bartender who told Chris to shave his beard, and a psychiatrist with Iraqi origins who Arabic danced with me(I always attract what I need).  We had a blast! Once they found out that I was half Syrian and that my birthday was coming up on Thursday, they insisted that we come back the next day so that they could cook us couscous and share some champagne. So that is where we are headed tonight. Chris is clean shaven and we are off to celebrate my birthday with new friends.

Freedom is Free

cFrom fetus to death we are at war, a war of intellectual property, and that property is our minds. Our thoughts are prostituted through deviant means meant to manipulate our freedoms. The single greatest power we have is the power of choice, however, our choice lies in a prison of a monetary mentality. A system which sells you to the highest bidder, you are forced to believe everything sold is what you need, it is simply a battlefield of  power for thoughts. There is no shelter to these indoctrinating principles. Our history has been perverse from re-indoctrination of beliefs through a mercenary media. My DVD player is not my history, it is my curator of controlled time. My American eyes are no longer mine. They always have and always will be a falsehood I have been told to presupposes as truth. Everywhere I see are advertisements adverting me to what I should be, say do, and think. We have been told to have it all, but how does everyone have it all?

The sickness of society bleeds deep, society at all cost, when simply 'FREEDOM IS FREE'. Its a mind collusion to think the things you need are anything otherwise. We are all bought and sold in a market that commits us to participation. Participate in a system of greed. Capitalism like all 'isms' & 'ists' is the totality of this war. Look no further that the root of the word. I will not capitalize on another. Open your eyes your media is the filler, the killer of your independence.  You sit at the front line, your gun is cocked, your target in sight, dont let the nightmare continually revisit you, fire upon them, because they do not hesitate to fire on you. Every great man they have killed. Every free and independent soul they have slaughtered. The drugs and corruption in our minds. The elite 'monetary' rich only want you to spend. Don't be fooled by they supposed hatred of social welfare, you are worth more as a passive spender, than an educated saver. You are one or the other, slave or master to the will of manipulated propaganda. A dope pusher of bias thought on independence. Your leaders are no more than a launderer of criminal acts against self sufficiency . Our cities are industrialized cancers only meant to strip you of your place in life. I am not a junkie of empirical power. I am not in a man to man competition to prove my rights are any greater than yours. I will not respond to your brute force, I am not your money slave. I am one mind and I don't need your fanatical fascist version of freedom.

Finishing the Louvre

So we capped of the Louvre today, except for going back randomly to catch the Dur Paintings in the German art area. We were able to see Da Vinci, Botticelli, Raphael, and many more amazing works. It is a shame though that the only thing we find important to hold onto are works of Religion, War and Government. For all the beautiful work, there are countless lost pieces that will never be appreciated over time because of the lack of need to promote belief systems. But, I have gone over this enough, Im going to post so more of the Paintings we seen today

That which is above is the same as that which is below

what is above is down below, maybe its time we 'understood' that..
